Sigh, yesterday my best friend, Gator was struck by a fast moving train, its a miracle hes alive. I got out at the creek and he took off across running, i followed, he wouldnt stop, i was 15 seconds behind, called his name and stopped in horror, he was standing on the bridge a fast train right over his shoulder, before i could even finish the explitive coming out my mouth, he turned his head right into it and i watched a series of events that i ll skip , and never stop seeing, that ended up with us at this clinic. Gator walked in on his own, a quarter size hole , mid forhead, what looked like skull fragment stuck to the wound, bleading from mouth and nose, hours in the truck, to get here, we were greeted by friendly people up front, no complaint on their courtesy. In the room paperwork, still nobody actually looked at him. He paced sniffing, bleeding, he was hurt and scared, while we waited i cleaned up blood with paper towels and hand sanitizer. Eventually a doctor arrives. She was nice, asked the story listened to his internals, didnt touch his head didnt look at the wound. Im confused, she leaves. Next payment talks . Heres where the problem is, I mistakenly thought that the 150.00 " examination fee" meant someone would look at his head or at least clean it, it seems that only covered sitting with him scared out of our minds, cleaning up his blood and telling my story three times. I get it its about trust. Not everyone is honest. I give you the examination fee, i trust you will help my dog. Now after looking him over if i leave you didnt look him over for free. I trust that based on knowledge gained from at least glancing at his gaping headwound, we will talk about whats next, because i have showed you that i will pay you, with the exam fee. i love my dog and i would sell an organ if i had to to save his life. I just wanted to see someone do something so the trust can begin. No exam, nobody touched his head. Now 900 to begin to talk help, based on the exam he didnt get. The lady who followed after the dr. Was rude to us. No heart for the animals there, or the people who love them. Money. I asked if someone would examine him or at least clean it, she insisted he had been examined. All the money was needed now or we could walk. She actually snapped at me and walked out. So we did. That 150 was every cent we could scrape up. I dont know what to do. As of now the next day this super trooper is still alive, still our Gator, 9 year old Autumns best friend, my best friend, and he still needs help. I told the story to emphasize the true reality of what Gator has been through it was and is a major trauma that was met with dismissal. Im completely at a loss as to why we wasted their time and i imagine they feel the same..
. We had an emergency with our beloved dog, Maybull, and in our hearts we knew the outcome might not be good given that she was 15 years old.
From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly compassionate and caring. They quickly brought a stretcher to help move her and got us in right away. The doctor and team took the time to explain everything in detail, showing such kindness, patience, and empathy throughout this extraordinarily difficult experience.
While it was not the outcome we had hoped for, we knew in our hearts what was happening. The compassion shown by the doctor and staff made an immeasurable difference during one of the most heartbreaking moments our family has faced.
They will never truly know how grateful we are for the care they gave Maybull and for helping us navigate this devastating loss with such dignity and compassion. We will always be thankful.
I can't sing this team's praises enough. Dr Gable and her team literally saved our dog's life at 1am Saturday morning. Mr Snacks, our 5 year old dog, suffered a flipped stomach while we were on vacation and staying at a rental house. Stuff of nightmares for a pet parent.
Luckily we caught it in time to get him over to a vet in Ponderay who referred us to this clinic and they were able to save him through emergency surgery. They whole team was quick to respond and so accommodating and understanding. Our dogs are our world and they treated us with a level of urgency and compassion that someone could only pray for in circumstances like ours. It's because of your team that Mr Snacks is here with us and on the road to recovery. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Bella was more than a pet, she was family, our loyal companion, and a source of unconditional love for nearly 15 years.
When it came time to say goodbye, the entire staff treated her with such gentleness, compassion, and respect that we knew she was in the best hands possible. They made one of the most heartbreaking days of our lives a little easier to bear.
We are deeply grateful for the care Bella received and for the kindness shown to our family throughout the process, including her cremation. Thank you for honoring her life and helping us bring our sweet girl home one last time.
We will miss her forever
